Hi and welcome to our new user forum. Or original forum was built using a third party application called WordPress software. Unfortunately, this software proved to have significant security issues which was causing our poor "Web Guy" headaches. So, we decided to move the Forum, sans WordPress.

We think Blogger is a cool site, which is why we moved here . . . and also why we will be building export support for Blogger into out next release of Noah, so we also wanted a way of saying that if Blogger is good enough for our users, it's good enough for us too.

That's right, in our next release, you will be able to export the content in your Noah Channels and Topics to Blogger and automatically build and update your own Blog with a few simple clicks of a mouse button - and Blogger is FREE! -MAF-

Noah v2.0 - Comming Soon! (sign-up instructions below)

Noah v2.0 is currently under development. It extends Noah v1.0 functionality to provide, among other things, the capability for users to publish their content, and to subscribe to content from other Noah users. Noah v2.0 is designed to leverage the vast amounts of user generated content that already exists on millions of personal computers by providing a simple, easy to use method, of organizing and combining this data into Stations, Channels, and Topics that can then be published and accessed by others through Noah or through a Web browser. Noah v2.0 publishers will have the ability to control access and read/write permission of their data, to a single user, a group, or make it available to the world.

Noah 2.0 will soon be made available though a private beta test program. This program will only be available to registered users of Noah v1.0. To sign-up for the Noah 2.0 limited beta - first click on the word "comments" below and a comment box will appear. Then simply leave your email address (the same one that you used to register for Noah v1.0) and write “Noah v2.0 beta” in the box. Then follow instructions to submit the comment. We will contact you as soon as the beta is ready for release. -MAF-

New Release of Noah for Vista!

Noah v1.0 is now compatible with both Microsoft Windows XP and Vista operating systems. The same free download can be used with either operating systems. Prior to this release Noah could only be used with XP.

Noah v1.0.2 - New Maintenance Release

A new release of Noah is now available for download. This is a maintenance release that includes bug fixes and a few new features or feature modifications. Specifically:

We’ve changed the registration from mandatory to optional.
We added a notes feature within the Contacts Edit Window.

And we fixed the bugs in the:

Tool Bar Options Menu.
Import Contacts from Thunderbird feature.
Undo command in the Text Editor.
Classic Mail email list window controlling some scrolling functions.
Response Icon feature in Classic Mail.
URL link in the Contacts Preview Window
Contacts phone number import
Channel Edit function which caused Channels to be removed during shutdown and restart.

Keep in mind that, as with the original, this is a Windows XP version only. We’re still working on a Vista version, which should be available shortly.

We’ve been gratified by the response to the release of Noah v1.0. In fact, this forum is the direct result of that response. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the emails so we felt it was time.

Many of you have written to tell us how impressed you are with Noah. Thank you! We’ve worked long and very hard to bring you a great product. We’ve also received a number of suggestions for new features, which is great to see.

One of the more common requests is: “When are you going to release a Vista version of Noah?”. Like many others, we’ve been dealing with a number of issues with the Vista OS, which fall in the category of ‘new OS growing pains’. We’re still working through a few more and expect to have the Vista version of Noah available soon.

In addition we’ve been receiving (very polite) reports of bugs and such, which managed to sneak through test. We expect to be making our first maintenance release available very shortly. If you completed the registration email, during the Noah setup, we will be sending you an email to let you know when these new versions become available. If, on the other hand, you didn’t fill out the registration with a real email, or deleted the email before it was sent (and you know who you are), you’ll need to check back here, or the Gen-9 site, for the announcements.

Finally, we hope you continue to support our effort to bring you this and other products. You can help in two ways:

First, keep sending us comments, preferably through this Forum. Your comments are invaluable in helping us determine which new features to add and the order of priority.

Second, help support this effort financially by using the “Quick-Links” featured on the top of the NoahNews home page. Some (but by no means all) of these links are sponsored links. We decided that the least intrusive way to present a sponsor’s link was by using these relatively innocuous buttons, rather than the increasingly annoying, over-the-top, ads we are all becoming familiar with . Plus, we thought that by carefully selecting the most popular sites (both ad-linked and not) we would make the Quick-Links a valuable feature to our users by providing them one place to go for an easy and convenient way to access some of their favorite sites.

Speaking, of over-the-top ads, you may find that some of the News-Links and the RSS news feeds in the main body of the NoahNews page (none of which are our sponsors) are accompanied by some of these rather annoying ads. We provide the News-Links solely for our user’s convenience. We want you to know that these ads have nothing to do with us. They are the ads that accompany the content that we subscribe to. We’ve tried hard to select those sites that have the least annoying stuff and, when we have a choice between multiple sites with the same or similar content, we choose the one with the least. We intend to continue to practice this editorial philosophy going forward by periodically changing content sources as the need arises.

This forum is designed for users of Gen-9’s free application called Noah (download it here). Noah is a new type of Internet centric application that’s designed to help you easily access, organize and manage your email accounts, Web sites, bookmarks, contacts, schedule, RSS feeds (and more) and to give you access to all of this information regardless of whether you’re online or off-line.
